Packaging company wants to hire experienced bag/pouch operators for 2nd or 3rd shift. Candidates require manual and mechanical duties to set up and operate bag/pouch making machinery. Duties include: machine set up, loading product, machine operation, quality checks, routine machine maintenance, and other similar duties pertaining to machine operation.
Duties require verbal communications skills, visual acuity to machine operation and product details as well as written material, manual coordination and dexterity in the use of ordinary hand tools, and the physical ability to lift various weights, climbing and reaching around machinery.
Essential Job Functions
1. Set up bag/pouch equipment. Read job information to determine product specifications and reconfigure equipment as needed. Make adjustments to equipment and speeds etc. Load and web required product rolls. Obtain setup approval from supervisor.
2. Operate machinery to produce bag/pouch. Once setup is approved, bring machine up to optimal operating speed. Monitor operation to ensure product is feeding and operating properly. Make periodic visual inspections of the finished product to ensure proper quality. Clear jams as required. Reload stock as required. Adjust machine feeds/speed as necessary to obtain most efficient operation. Record production data into Activity production Input computer system and prepare required run sheets.
3. Follow all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Report defective equipment or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Perform other similar duties as required or as requested by supervisor.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
