Accounting Manager

Cascade is looking for an Accounting Manager with construction accounting experience. Candidate will work closely with project teams to review project estimates, direct costs and GM analysis. Responsibilities include WIP (PoC) preparation, review job cost reports for budget variances, job accruals, journal entries. Prepare time/labor reports for payroll processing. AR - AIA progress billings, assist with collections. Experience with fixed, cost plus and T&M contracts required. Federal contracts (FAR) experience, along with SCA/DB prevailing wage knowledge preferred.  The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience Full understanding of GAAP, including, but not limited to, thorough understanding of construction accounting, WIP, payroll/labor, accounts payable, accounts receivable/collections, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations. Proficient at MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication. 4+ years of construction accounting experiencerequired.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
